DevOps Certifications
How do you know if your business should adopt DevOps or not? Here are some of the tell-tale signs that you need DevOps:
It takes you a long time to develop software. This could be due to teams not working effectively together when collaborating, bugs being missed in the code, and whole projects having to be reviewed.
There is low morale and friction in the workplace between members of staff. This can be caused by some team members having overwhelming workloads and others having little.
There is no responsibility or accountability. When problems arise, different teams blame each other. In DevOps, Developers take accountability for the services they create. This helps them to write better code and deploy more reliable services.
You have staff with nothing to do. This can be caused by team members waiting on code from other teams, access to environments for production and many other aspects.
There is decreased user satisfaction. When teams are burnt out or stressed, it becomes more likely that errors will be missed, negatively affecting the end-user with buggy software. This, along with a backlog of bug fixes, is a clear indication that something needs to be changed.
